Bert graduated from UCR in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. He later obtained a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from National University. After spending many years as a teacher and working in corporate America, he began his entrepreneurial career in the financial services industry. A role he has held for the last 10 years.

Bert is someone who believes that entrepreneurship can be a vehicle of social change. He grew up in a household of entrepreneurs. His dad was a general contractor and a real estate appraiser & inspector. His mom had her own daycare for many years. His father taught him that entrepreneurship is a pathway to controlling your own future and making a difference in the world. As a young person, Bert developed his entrepreneurial muscles as a paper boy in junior high school. He learned the power of creating his own personal economy and loved the feeling of creating a paycheck at will.
